Stargazing in Sologne
Look Up... The Show Is About to Begin
As the sun sets behind the centuries-old oak trees of Les Hayes, the estate gradually falls silent. Far from towns and light pollution, the clear skies of Sologne reveal their full beauty.
Join us for an approximately 45-minute guided stargazing experience and discover the wonders of the night sky through our telescope. Whether you’re a keen astronomy enthusiast or simply curious, you’ll learn to identify the main constellations while observing some of the most spectacular celestial objects visible at that time of year.
Depending on the season and weather conditions, you may have the opportunity to admire Saturn’s magnificent rings, Jupiter’s cloud bands and its famous Great Red Spot, the craters and mountains of the Moon, as well as remarkable deep-sky objects such as the Dumbbell Nebula (M27), the Omega Nebula (M17), the Pinwheel Galaxy (M101) and bright stars including Vega and Arcturus. Every session is unique, as the night sky changes throughout the year.
Perfect for families, couples and anyone with a sense of wonder, this experience offers a completely different way to discover Sologne. After a day exploring Chambord Castle or Cheverny Castle, there’s nothing quite like ending the evening beneath one of the darkest skies in the Loire Valley, surrounded by nature and the peaceful atmosphere of our 180-hectare private estate.
